In this episode I share some thoughts around faith crisis and descent work. Many of us were condition to seek after light and love. And other things of good report, that make us feel happy, make us feel shiny, and leads to more righteous actions.

But what about shadow and flame? What about descent? Not as a path towards the dark-side of the force. Although, I recognize to some people that is cool. But here, I’m talking about the awakening of the deeper self within. The inner genius. The path of the soul not the spirit. I believe walking a faith crisis opens a doorway for our deeper selves to emerge. But it doesn’t always feel good. Which is why many choose to avoid it. But that’s where the inner gold is hidden, waiting for us to find it. Are you willing to take that journey?

Bonus Episode: General Conference Weekend

Offering supportive insights and practices to help you make it through.

Spencer Burnside

For many who have left or are leaving the LDS church, we likely have many memories and experiences with friends and family around Easter and General Conference time. I share how the LDS was such a major foundation in my life, and how challenging it was to remove so many layers of it in order to see myself more clearly. As we enter the healing spaces, there is the inner gold that we can retrieve. Some might call this post-traumatic growth. Doing our inner work helps us to really look at how the wounding and church indoctrination might still be operating in us.

How I Left the Mormon Church

My unique story of how I left and why I'm creating this podcast.

Spencer Burnside

Hello!
